The project will be realized from the 1st March 2013 until the 28th February 2014, and would like to shed light on one of the most neglected and chilling historical pages, that is the extermination of persons with disabilities on behalf of the Nazis, a general trial of the extermination of Hebrews. On the 14th July 1933, the Nazi Government, with the emanation of the "Law for the prevention of progeny with hereditary diseases" takes its first steps towards the objective of creating a superior Aryan race passing from extermination, to euthanasia, to extermination. Therefore, setting up a propaganda campaign against PwDs, branding them "Lives not worth living", "useless eaters" and "economic burden to society", which goes on until the autumn of 1939 to the medical-administrative programme denominated in code “Aktion T4”.

The extermination of PwDs (approximately 275.000) continued in care institutions and concentration camps until the fall of Nazism. The project, which has as target, the teachers and students of higher secondary schools, has as general objective the increase of knowledge on the Nazi extermination of PwDs so that, comprehending from the errors that generated the tragedy in the 900s, young people may recognize the signs of violence and discrimination that may cause the re-emergence, in contemporary society, of Nazi eugenics (Thesis by Peter Singer, Maastricht protocol, etc.).

The specific objectives of the project are:

- To increase the knowledge of the European civil society and of the Institutions on the issues addressed by the project, so that policies and actions may be elaborated,  as sanctioned by art. 10 (Right to life) and 17 (Personal integrity) of the UNCRPD, that are able to stem future eugenic drifts;

- To supply schools, young people, the population in general, PwDs, DPOs with the knowledge and awareness of their personal and group history so that they may become active protagonists in the construction of a non violent and non discriminating European Society;

- To promote the protection of human rights sanctioned by the UNCRPD and ratified by the EU.
